Desalination is a dependable method of obtaining water that is not reliant on rainfall. Perth's water requirements cannot be met by streamflow into dams due to decreased rainfall and an increasing population. Desalinated saltwater has been gradually filling the space. We now operate saltwater desalination plants. To help reduce our dependence on precipitation and groundwater, we're getting ready to deliver a new seawater desalination plant to Perth.
