Cable management with strain relief

The strain relief cable management system consists of three elements: a 19-inch 1U panel, cable guide brackets, and foam inserts.

strain relief cable management solution from trans data elektronik (tde) is a patented system that brings more order and greener IT to data centers by allowing fiber optic cables to be routed and organized and flexible cabling of twisted pair interconnection cables in the distribution racks of the network.

The strain relief cable management system consists of three elements: a 19-inch 1U panel, cable guide brackets, and foam inserts. The system protects the interconnection cables from mechanical traction thanks to its strain relief. In combination with trans data elektronik's proprietary tML and tSML platforms, the tPM patch cable creates a perfectly structured, energy efficient cabling of high packing density within a compact unit.

Benefits of the strain relief cable management system

The system's strain relief capability prevents attenuation caused by microbending, this is particularly advantageous with respect to low loss budgeting at high transfer rates.

Depending on needs and applications, installers can equip the tPM system with up to nine cable guide brackets with different foam pieces that will be attached to them at 17 different positions on the 19-inch panel. Alternatively, there is also an angled bracket for vertical cable routing. This makes it easier to add or remove cables, and it is easier to swap out damaged or unnecessary interconnect cables.

At the same time, the improved cable management system contributes to more efficient aeration of the server rack and thus greener IT in data centers.
