Activate Setup

Discover how to activate set up your Arlo Go camera.

Note:

To set up your Arlo Go camera, you need.

● Insert an active SIM card into the camera.
● A SIM card is usually pre-installed.
● Use a computer or smartphone with a stable internet connection to access the camera.
● Get the Arlo app via the Google play store and Apple app store. The smartphone requirements are :

● iOS 8 or later
● Android 4.1 or later

Computer-supported browsers are:

● Internet Explorer 10 or later
● Microsoft Edge
● Firefox 3.5 or later
● Safari 3 or later
● Chrome (latest version)

1. Insert the battery into the camera.

(Installing the battery is recommended if your camera is connected to the power source)


1. Navigate and launch the Arlo app on your Smartphone or go to the official Arlo app.
2. Select one of the following options:

● Tap or click New to Arlo to create a new Arlo account.
● Enter your login information if you already have an Arlo account, then touch or Click Add Device.

1. Click on the Arlo Go camera.
2. To confirm the SIM activation, click on the continue button.
3. Hold and tap the Sync button for at least 2 seconds, then release the button.
4. Select continue and choose how to sync the camera.
5. Until you hear a chime, position your camera's lens 4 to 8 inches in front of the QR code visible on the screen.
6. Tap or click Yes, I heard a chime if you hear the chime sound.
7. Give the app or website time to find your camera and show the Claim Your Device screen.
8. Tap or click back and repeat steps 7 through 10 if you didn't hear the chime sound.
9. Enter the location, preferred camera name, and time zone from the Claim Your Device screen, then tap or click next.
10. Then touch or click next after entering your account settings.
11. Select the desired service plan from the Select a Plan screen.

Arlo Go - Insert SIM Card

1. Make sure the power adapter is removed from the camera.
2. Activate the battery door.
Rotate the door downward after pressing and holding the latch (which is on the top edge).

If so, take the battery out as described and then carry out one of the following actions:

● Pull to remove by making use of the notches on both sides.
● Add a SIM card.
● Ensure that the card slides in (gold contacts facing up, notch in the upper-right).
● Delete the SIM card.
● Press the card to unlock it if necessary.
● Put the battery back in.
● Make sure the battery's connectors line up with the device's connectors.
● Put the battery door closed.
● Rotate the door upward and make sure it locks.

1. Download the Arlo app on your Smartphone or use a browser to go to the admin site and log in.
2. The address of the website is https://www.arlo.com/en-us/.
3. Internet Explorer 10 or later, Microsoft Edge, Firefox 3.5 or later, Safari 3 or later, and Chrome are all supported browsers (latest version).
4. The Google Play and Apple App stores both provide the Arlo app.
5. In the top menu, select or tap Settings (upper-right, to the right of Mode).
6. Choose the proper camera by tapping or clicking.
7. Several cameras might show up.
8. View the signal strength display in the Network section.

Software Issues

Factory Data Reset (Arlo Go)

The factory data reset may help you to deal with unresponsive camera issues.

1. Install the Arlo app on your Smartphone or use a browser to go to the admin site and log in.

● Internet Explorer 10 or later, Microsoft Edge, Firefox 3.5 or later, Safari 3, and Chrome have supported browsers (latest version).
● The Google Play and Apple App stores both provide the Arlo app.

2. Go to the top menu, and click on Settings.
3. Tap on the appropriate camera.
4. Multiple cameras may appear.
5. Click on Remove device.
6. Review the disclaimer, then hit Continue to confirm. Give the process a few seconds to finish.

Soft Reset- Arlo Go

1. Navigate the Arlo app on your Smartphone or log in to the official website through the browser.
2. The app-supported browsers are Internet Explorer 10 or Microsoft Edge, Firefox 3.5 or later, and Safari or Chrome (the latest version).
3. The Arlo secure app is available via Google Play and the Apple App store.
4. Go and click on Settings.
5. Tap on the appropriate camera. Multiple cameras will appear.
6. Click on the Restart option.
7. Tap to Confirm, and click the Restart option.
8. Wait for a few seconds to complete the further process.

View Software Version

1. Start the Arlo app on your Smartphone or use a browser to go to the admin site and log in.
2. The address of the website is my.arlo.com.
3. Internet Explorer 10 or later, Microsoft Edge, Firefox 3.5 or later, Safari 3, and Chrome have supported browsers (latest version).
4. The Google Play and Apple App stores both provide the Arlo app.
5. In the top menu, select or tap Settings (upper-right, to the right of Mode).
6. Choose the proper camera by tapping or clicking.
7. Multiple cameras might show up.
8. Click or tap Device Info.
9. Scroll the cursor down, and you will see the firmware version.
10. Refer to Install System Updates to ensure using the most recent version.
